Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many teachers do you have and what are class sizes?
    • We have two teachers per grade and classes are capped at 24 students. Kindergarten we have one classroom and that is capped at 20 students. Additionally, our 1st-4th grade teachers loop up with their students. This means that if you have Teacher A in first grade, your child will have Teacher A again for 2nd grade. They get a new teacher in 3rd grade and that teacher loops up with the class to 4th grade.
  • Do you offer after-school care?
    • Yes, we partner with the YMCA to provide after school care until 5:45 on campus. There is a fee to send your child to this program. If you are interested in learning more about the program, please visit the YMCA website in our parent/student tab at the top of the webpage.

Some examples of curriculum we use are:  Illustrative Math, Reading Horizons, Handwriting Without Tears, Lexia, iReady, and Second Steps.
  • How do you handle discipline in your school?
    • Our discipline is rooted in a Love and Logic approach. This means we hold high value in building positive relationships with students first. We are invested in learning about each individual student and valuing what they bring to the school community. Additionally, we believe students learn best when they are given a voice and choice with structured guidance from the adults in the school. Students are encouraged to help problem solve and are given logical consequences when a poor choice is made.
